How many units of botox for forehead?

The typical Botox vial contains between 50 and 100 units.

A typical dose for a forehead injection, according to some doctors, is between 10 and 30 units. The recommended dosage of Botox Cosmetic, according to the manufacturer Allergan, is 20 units, administered in five separate injections over the forehead.

Your doctor may recommend beginning with a small dose each injection. Your doctor will give you a trial period of one to two weeks to determine the optimal dosage for you. Possible extra quantities could be allocated to you at that time.

Once your doctor has a sense of how many units you need, future appointments will go more smoothly.

Botox injections are typically given every three to four months. Initial injections may not produce long-lasting effects. Two or three months after the initial treatment, you may find that you need to see your doctor again.
